UDFCD Sponsored Training Class on Construction Management When Working in Waterways, 2008.

The Urban Drainage and Flood Control District recently updated the Construction BMPs chapter of Volume 3 of the Criteria manual, clarifying much of it and strengthening the section on working in waterways.

The District contracted with Scott Olson to offer training with a focus on techniques to control erosion and sediment when constructing in waterways.  The class was offered on trial basis to a number of professionals and, based on their feedback, it much improved.  The District is now ready to offer this training to the general public and has scheduled them starting in February 2008.

The one-day class will be offered February 13 (FULL), March 13 (FULL), April 9 and May 28.  Space will be limited.  We suggest registering as early as possible and specifying your preferences for the date you would like to attend this class.  To register, download either the regular or Editable registration form listed below, fill it out and send it to the address shown on the form.

We will assume that all participants have a basic knowledge of the State and local permit requirements and have completed at least a basic "Erosion and Sediment" control class taught by Scott,  Red Rocks Community College, or any other person knowledgeable in this topic.   The training will last all day.  Lunch and refreshments will be provided
